Delete your MovenRun account
You can permanently delete your MovenRun account and the data stored with it at any time.
What is deleted
- Your account, and its Google sign-in (your email address) or wallet sign-in (your public wallet address) at our sign-in provider
- All sign-in sessions on every device (they are signed out immediately)
- Every verified session summary saved to your account (distance, time, map cells crossed)
- Your account's security history
Deletion from our database happens immediately and cannot be undone. Your sign-in record at our sign-in provider is removed straight after, and the removal is retried automatically if the provider cannot be reached at that moment. Your Google account and your wallet themselves are not affected: we only remove MovenRun's record of them. We keep only an anonymous record that an account was deleted, with no email, account id or other detail that could identify you. Our database plan has no automatic backups; an encrypted copy we made ourselves before your deletion still holds your data until that copy is deleted. See the privacy policy for details.
Progress stored only on your phone (XP, streak, badges) is not on our servers. Deleting your account in the app also clears it from that phone; otherwise, uninstalling the app removes it.
Option 1: in the app
- Open MovenRun and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Account → Account security.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Option 2: on this page
Sign in the same way you sign in to the app. A wallet signature here is not a transaction and costs nothing.
Option 3: by email
If you can no longer sign in, write to info@movenrun.xyz with the subject "Delete my MovenRun account". Tell us how you signed in: the Google email address, or the public wallet address (never send a recovery phrase or private key; we will never ask for one). We may ask you to confirm you control that address before deleting.
Email requests are handled by the MovenRun team by hand, so we cannot promise a fixed time for them. If you can still sign in, options 1 and 2 delete your account straight away.
